BNE/GC unofficial run - 31st March (Satnite)

Hey all

Just thought it might be a good time to start brewing the next unofficial run . When and where is up to the majority, but wouldn't mind something fresh since its always been Nebo-Glorious and Springbrook, I'd suggest Lamington National Park Rd, hmmm yum...I can still taste it! . Actually while all this reminds me of food, let talk food, could use some suggestion, but I'm thinking a simple cozy BBQ. I can get access to a portable BBQ and gas tank, thanks to Vak82...yes I'll take good care of it. We can share the load on food and drinks etc or $X for the night. Bring along a camp chair and its all sweet .

What do you recon? When, where and what?

Ok here we go...

BRISBANE MEET POINT:
Springwood Mazda
5:30pm for a 6:00pm Departure to meet up with the Coasters.

GOLD COAST MEET POINT:
Bunnings Nerang Carpark (the usual place)
Time: 6:30pm for a 7:00pm Leave

What to bring - Half a tank if leaving from the Gold Coast, UHF radio, some money for dinner.

The route will be revealed on the night, expect around 100kms of driving.

Ill have a think about dinner, we should be eating by 8:30pm.

well any weekend between 24th Mar and 14th April is sweet

i dun mind any location either but i hope the pace is less \"crazy\" if we're going to somewhere unfamiliar....

ooh ooh i know where! Maleny to Mitchelton road is nice :mrgreen:

very nice road. the drive up to it is not so bad either actually. it can be a bit demanding though.

If we're heading for Lamington/O'Reiley then the fun begins at Canungra, going down south along Lamington National Park Road all the way to O'Reileys, the trip there is equally fun as the trip back. See link to map...

Maleny have some awesome roads, but for a Friday night run its a bit far to go. We like to keep it between the Gold Coast/Brisbane area. I know after a days work i really couldn't be stuffed driving the 2+ hours drive home on the highway

But maybe thats just me :oops:

Cunungra is good, but the trip up to O'Reiley's is a really bumpy ride.

hmmm... could do a round trip of Nerang to an undisclosed place.... with several stops along the way.

Its 100km nerang to nerang.... LOTSA fun roads... and leads us back into town for some din dins (slang for dinner :mrgreen:

).

Just a sugesstion anyway.

oh and apart from 9km's of twisty road, the rest is all uncharted teritory of friday night goodness. (or is it saturday night???) :mrgreen:

Good suggestion indeed!! I'm up for anything, but could we make it the satday night instead? gives everyone a chance to come out as some work till late on the Friday nights. Any objection to the Saturday night 31st March? "Explore Narang"? going.....going.....

We could even go to BWCP....

hehe \"Hairdressers invade Broadwater Carpark\".

For those that dont know its a big carpark where everyone goes on saturday night. Sorta like a hoon chillout place... lots of nice cars and lots of rice cars.
