Sparco Sprint

Postby yjl » Fri Mar 09, 2007 12:46 am

I just got my Sparco Sprint installed last week from ebay and it is showing signs of wear and tear already. Particularly a crease in the area where you sit on. Is that normal?

Also, does the month/year stamped on the side of the seat matters at all?

I think the date stamp only applies if you are going to take it to the track, not sure of the finer details but Im sure the other forumites can shed more light on this.

Regarding the crease, yeah its normal if you have a shaped butt :D

I wouldnt think the wearing is normal after a week, depends how old the seat is.
I've had 2 in my mx for nearly 5 years now and have only wearing where you jump in and where the seat belt comes over, but they are really only a thin material by no means really hard wearing. But mine seem to be lasting well.

the date stamped on it was APR/2003 but was never installed in a car as told by the seller. Just wanted to make sure they don't make fake ones. :x

Sounds a bit used? Does that one have removable cushions (then buy a new one)?

Its still a good fit. What you do is attached the lap belt through the bottom right hole and to the original mounting point.
