Qld Club Driver Training afternoon at Mt Cotton - 19 May
Mt. Cotton Driver Training Afternoon, Saturday 19th May
Join us for an afternoon of driver training at Mt Cotton Training Centre under the guidance of SDT - Safe Drive Training (Aust) Pty Ltd.
Where else can you learn and have fun at the same time!
Date: Saturday 19th May
Time: 12.30pm-4.30pm
Where: Mt Cotton Training Centre Large Vehicle Manoeuvring Area (LVMA)
1753 - 1799 Mt Cotton Road
Cornubia Queensland 4130
Cost: $58
Maximum participants: 24
Payment Due: Monday 2nd April 2007 (those people who get the 24 spots will be forwarded payment details)
There is a 90 dB noise limit at the centre and no drifting is allowed.
As this event is capped at 24 participants, it is only open to current club members.
First 24 people to e-mail me at mx5drivertraining@gmail.com will get a spot. If payment is not made by the due date, your spot will be offered to the next person on the list.
I am also looking for a person/s to help out on the day, so if you don’t want to drive but are willing to help with timing etc. let me know.
Outline for the afternoon:
Initially they divide participants into 3 groups of a maximum of 8 (24 attendees) and setup 2 timed driving events (one of which is very open) and the 3rd group drives the road loop behind the LVMA as a hillclimb/mountain road (practicing cornering lines, heel/toe etc).
The groups move through each activity with usually 2 runs at each.
After all groups have completed the three events, they setup one very large course across the LVMA or if we like 2 medium size courses and then participants have 2 or 3 runs at each layout.
Feedback from other clubs is very positive with excellent bang for bucks and plenty of driving time.
