ebay purchase.. who in melb to fit kyb agx's ?

Postby qikshift » Tue Feb 27, 2007 3:56 pm

Hey Guys n Girls,

Just curoius (did a search but didn't really come up with anything solid), I'm about to order a set of kyb agx's from the states (still undecided on springs as yet) and wondering who is the best person in Melbourne to fit these?

I ask this because I could imagine alot of suspension shops may not be happy about me rocking up with pre-purchased items as they are loosing out on some sales etc etc.

I have heard good things about GT suspension in Flemington, would they be too narky about it? Or would Tony from Ful-Tech be able to do this (happily and at a good price? i intend taking the NA there to be serviced anyways).

cheers guys.

You could always try and do it yourself. They are fairly easyish providing you are a little mechanically minded.

normally i would.. however all my tools are at my folks (Mildura) and now living in an apartment complex makes things hard, really don't have the room in the carpark to raise the car and do any work on it :(

Maybe someone here would be kind enough to volunteer space to do it and some tools. I would but I am in a similar situation. I can help you on the day though

Have you actually rung any of the aforementioned places to see if a) they will do it, and b) how much they will charge?
Apart from that...I fitted my konis about 14 months ago....IIRC it wasn't that difficult, just need a HUGE breaker bar to prise down a control arm.
If you can get a few of the other boys interested in helping then you can use the garage at chez gassit.
Just don't hold your breath as my weekends are booked for a while....

No not yet.. i can get away with random web surfing at work.. but unrelated work calls probably not so cool as yet (only been here a week lol ). I do plan to however when i get the chance.. as ppl have probably had experience with suspension/spring installs didn't think it would hurt to ask.

hehe.. see how it pans out.. no big rush :) i'll let you guys know how the quoting goes for future reference.

cheers

Yeap, and a 14mm, 17mm sockets and ring spanners. If you have an NB you might also need an allen key for the sway bar bolts
