DTM wheels, help me choose

Postby qikshift » Tue Feb 27, 2007 1:39 pm

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of doing the suspension and wheel change.

I have decided on a set of 17's (already some on there but will be selling them cheap soon when the new ones go on) for daily driving and eventually get a set of nice lightweight 15's for anything competitive

So i was browsing through the DTM wheels.. (which i forget existed until last night).. and wondered what you guys thought of these few wheels which have all equally taken my fancy for various reasons. I think they generally are better finished than a lot of copies IMHO.

I'm tossing up with these ?

DTM Alonso II: 17x7 with 45p and 35p offsets

DTM Kaliber: 17x7 with 40p offset

DTM 135 RS GT: 17x7 40p (the same wheel as ozzy's which is a wheel from the US that is imported and just re-badged)

DTM 099 GT37: 17x7 45p

I'm liking the alonzo due to the fact that it will be closer to being flush with the guards with a +35 offset.. however, maybe its too busy?

I do generally like tough looking 5 spoke designs.. which the Kaliber does very well as does the RSGT which most of know looks hot on the NA. Finally the classic TE37 rip off :) BAHHH can't choose :(

Any of these you guys like? btw my NA is a lovely shiney white. I like the idea of dark grey or bronze rims im thinking.

cheers

I'm leaning towards them myself, I think that colour against white would look horn.. only thing im not sure on is they have a shiney strip of alloy just inside the lip.. id prefer them to be totally gunmetal.. but you can't have everything :)

pic of them on an evo and skyline (skyline probably 18's .. maybe the evo too) :
