Brisbane Workshops

Postby Schultzy » Mon Feb 19, 2007 7:49 pm

Hi everyone,

Look i'm in brissy and am wondering who you other brissy guys are trusting you cars to and why?

I'm having trouble finding decent workshops as i hear good and bad reviews about every one of them!

I had one workshop take 4 days to put my Exedy heavy duty in because it took them that long to work out that it was my tailshaft that was making the racket after they put it back in!

Thanks
Schultzy

p.s. maybe i should do a road trip to MX5 Mania............... :)

I don't think MX-5 Plus will do workshop type work.

Try John Kraschnefski - search the forum for \"jak autos\" or similar. He's in Ipswich.

Krasch - 07 3812 0616.
He is always busy so give him some time. But he is the only person I trust with my car.

Just opposite MX5 Plus is a workshop called Gun Performance, in Hayward St, Stafford.

Had lots of work done there over the years and they are really fantastic! They fitted the exedy heavy duty to my old NA6. Had it back the same day and were much cheaper than anywhere else. Also did a lot of work to my 200SX too, and a lot of work fixing up another workshops dodgy work.

Good blokes too!

Hey guys i should have said this in the last post but i live on the south side of town. I have been talking to the guys at 999 Automotive. Seem like good people, good prices but what is their reputation like?

Cheers

I've been meaning to try Wayne Park Automotive at Milton. I've only heard good things about them, and they often work on high end cars, but prices seem reasonable. Close to the train station too

Another option, but on the northside and nowhere near public transport is McLean Motors. McLean as in Cameron who used to race V8 supercars. His father John runs the show and has a long standing rep as one of the best Ferrari mechanics in the country. People from around AU send their frezzas to him for work, which says a lot to me. He will do any sort of car though - a friend gets her Corolla serviced there!

For the basics of an oil change etc I do it myself :)
