Class 5 is for modified 1601 - 2000cc MX-5s.

I thought you had moved out of the stock class 12 months ago :?:

Matt,
I’ve been in the modified class for all bar my first run in the wet in November 2005.
My car was lowered after that first outing so that puts me into the modified class up against all the hotties with their sticky tyres, engine mods etc, etc.
Means I have to work really hard to be half competitive but generally anyone with suspension mods and on DOT tyres will walk rings around me.
Doesn’t matter as I still have fun and I can’t get booked for speeding. :D

In the Supersprint Series a couple of seasons ago, (Pre the new regs, but don't start me on that) I ran in Standard class, but you could run type \"R\" rubber. So I did a couple of Class 5 runs with the club for practice.

Apart from that the 10AE is bogg standard, steered by a silly old bugger with a pretty competitive streak.

One thing that has made a huge difference this year is a replacement coil pack, I am putting down the same times on street tyres as I did in Supersprints with type R, I was wondering why I lost ground on the straight to everyone.

Anyway, bring on the fun, especially the hill climb, that is so challenging, from memory, last year I got in the top 10, and beat you CB.

Hi Al,

What sort of radiator did you end up fitting to your car?. Good luck with the 1.10's, that would be a great result.

Look forward to seeing you at the track.

I used a 40 mm alloy one from Just Jap suited for the CA 18 Nissan and modified it. So far it's workimg a treat but a hot track day will test it.

Everyone please note, you won't be getting confirmation by mail prior to the event as Zan is away overseas and won't be back until just before the day.

I would be extremely surprised that anyone will miss out on a run as the Super Sprint guys are running elsewhere that day.

I'm also sure that you would only be contacted if you missed out on a spot.

If you are in doubt you can always give Rod a call (he’ll hate me for that) on the same number you faxed your entry. Though he is probably off herding the goats :D .

For the newbies, read your sup regs to know what you need to bring and what you need to do to pass inspection.
Also remember to check your oil, water and fuel before you leave home. When getting to the track pump your road tyres up to 36 - 37 psi..

See you there :D
