I am thinking about getting the SP Motorsport CAI

Has anyone got one that can comment on it?

Except that is a Mazda Motorsport airbox Boags, not an SP Motorsport one. Big difference in design.

If you are referring to the alloy intake that draws from the wheel well below the passenger side headlight - Dave has one on his SP. No empirical data on effectiveness as the car has ecu and boost upgrades, but it has seen some big figures on the dyno, so it is not a resriction point at least. Buggers up access to the headlight though, and some creative trimming is required to fit too IIRC...

Thanks for the comments!

I'm after the SPM full exhaust system and I thought their CAI would complement it. I'll give Mania a call and see what they suggest.

I reackon an SP airbox (not walkers, SPM, SMB or anyothers) a REAL MAZDA SP airbox would be a great addition to any NB - Both looks and power wise.

x2

What are your thoughts on the CAI setup?

Is the whole system too noisy at a constant highway speed?

thanks!
