Im not too sure if this is the actual problem I am merely speaking from personal experience.
A few times when I clip the roof up (hardtop or softtop) I may have misaligned latch itself (where the roof and frame meet) You can pull down (or push up) the lever (the big oval bit) for the latch without the "unlock" button catching (the button with unlock written on it). This causes a problem because the big lever sits in pretty much the same way with or without the "unlock button" catching and hence can "unsecure" itself.
This may be how the roofs start having a mind of their own at high speed?
Sorry for the dodgy speak... do you guys get what I mean?
