Suspension Choices - What to Pick?

ok guys, need some help

as you all know, bought a new car, the 12AT mx-5.

i need new suspension though. had a look around and found a few. Mainly the TEIN Flex coilovers and the Bilsteins PSS9 coilovers. bout the same price. which should i choose? or if you can suggest something better. the car will be used for street and heavy track use, so comfort isnt too important.

i thought the Bilstein PSS9 only fit the NB.
there are heaps of people on here with Tein's fitted, should be able to get some good opinions.
i fitted Tein HA's to my car a couple of years ago.
the suspension is hard but i like it that way, i'm sure most people would say it's too hard for a daily driver.

tein ss are great. I just got them about a month ago and cannot fault them. There is a 54sec (around clubman at qr) evo 8 with them so they do work around the track.

I think it is 54sec around the Sprint, and 59 around the Clubman. Still F'ing quick though!

I'd go the teins over the Bilsteins. This car is going to be a monster. :mrgreen:

King Springs and Koni's aren't in the same league?

not sure how good they are but you can buy new buddy club coilovers for $2000 from option 1 garage. They have 8/6 kg/mm spring rates i belive.
I'd say they would be on par with the tein flex and bilsiens.

king springs are useless unless i want to kill the handling. it already has koni's with eibach springs, but they arent up to the job. this is going to be built for race and street applications.

What do you mean? They are a step backwards from the factory springs?

lol no not that. i dont want to drift it.

also been eyeing off a pair of racing ones from the people that did the ARC subaru rally cars, although prob not suited to road applications

But you want to put a widebody kit on it with an extra 3 inches each side and presumably have wheels that are out at the edge of those guards?

not out the guards, i never said that. i want the wide body for the bigger wheelbase (and it looks hot). wider wheelsbase = better traction and less oversteer. so wouldn't that give it better handling?

i need high quality coilovers, suited for track and occassionally daily driving. king springs wont do it, they are far too soft. i'm thinking around the 8kg/mm springs.
