Are NA and NB radiators the same?

Postby Babalouie » Thu Feb 08, 2007 1:30 pm

I just had my car serviced at Top Tune and Jason kindly pointed out that the plastic header tank on my radiator is showing signs of cracking, so we better replace it before thar-she-blows :)

I can get my hands on a stock NB8B radiator or a PWR radiator for NB8B, but will they fit on NA8?

Please help, Dr Auscartalk.

My NA is getting a PWR radiator fitted by mania, and my old one is being sent to their parts bin, but if you want it let me know and I'll salvage it for you.....if you pick it up its yours for free :P

Fuzzlet had an NB radiater supplied by PWR (I think) and it didn't fit for whatever reason. Perhaps send him an email/pm and ask why? :) :P

Cool! Thanks for the offer, but I think part of the cracking is age-related, so I think I'd prolly just be delaying the inevitable if I fit your 1994 rad in place of my 1993 rad :)

But is it an NB PWR rad thats going in your beastie?

Edit: just noticed that Pwr lists different part#s for NA and NB. Oh well, back to the drawing brd :)

Back to the question! Are they the same size, or is the NB one a higher capacity?

Haha it was a mix and match...another customer ordered one for an NB, with extra bushes etc on it, to be delivered to mania, and mania ordered mine (for an NA)...they got sent one radiator....the thickness of an NB radiator, mountings for NA brackets, NB fans, and the fittings the other customer wanted....a polite "what the bloody hell were you thinking" got sent to PWR...

Nope, I believe NA8 and NA6 are the same radiator. :? Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
