BEGi performance products and Miata upgrades

Postby JSE » Tue Feb 06, 2007 9:44 pm

Has anyone bought a BEGi down pipe or manifold from them? If so what are they like? From what I have heard they are quality products and am considering buying one. Just want to know if anyone has bought one or has one installed on their car? What are their products like?

THE REAL BORIS wrote:Only bought a throttle body elbow from BEGi; Quality control was abysmal. The connection to the bypass valve was slightly small on the outside diameter. The inside diameter was only a 1/2". But none of that mattered because it had been welded onto the elbow with only a 5/16" hole through the throttle body elbow! I had to drill it out. To their credit, everything else was great & they offered an exchange, but from the USA it was easier for me to fix it! It should NEVER have happened.

I hope the quality has improved myself and C+C are awaiting on a BEGi inlet. They are in the process of building another batch.

apparently there were issues with quality control and fitment, but they have been resolved in more recent times. this is just what i've read on forums so take that with a grain of salt.

i tried to buy some gear off begi but after a few emails to and fro, they stopped replying to me. i was set on buying a manifold and dump pipe, stephanie answered all my technical questions, then i was at the stage of asking about payment details, and i never heard from her again. i sent 2 or 3 more emails asking her to confirm how i could pay, but got no reply. i guess my money wasn't good enough for them :(

Myself and C+C have purchased the BEGi inlets from a BEGi reseller, he has charged us the same price as what is quoted on the BEGi website, but at half the cost of what stephanie has quoted for delivery. If you can organise a group buy it will further bring down the price of the product and delivery.

When our inlets arrive and are satisfactoy ill be more then happy to pass on the name of the reseller.
