At the front of my 6 speed box just behind the shiter on the left is a bushing thats been melted so its got to be replaced, only thing is I can't get it out, help!!!

Sorta looks like where the speedo cable connects into the box :shock:

But why/how did it melt like that :?: :shock:

Try and get some multigrips around it or vice grips and spray heaps of WD40 on it and try and screw it out.....

Definitely the original electronic speedo transmitter...looks like she got a bit warm...donor car must have been burnt out...

Need to dig it out,could possible drill it out... the mechanical one out of the 5 speed will fit...but the gearing will be different because of the diff ratio change.

Thanks guys I will give that a try, your right Lou it was a burnt out car at a dealers, only done 8000kms though!
