Boost Gauge Into Air Vent

Postby JSE » Fri Feb 02, 2007 2:26 pm

Hi - calling all turbo owners,

Which size boost gauge fits into the air vents on an NA. 52mm (2 1/16\") or 66mm ( 2 5/8\") ? I have heard that both fit...the 52mm you don't take off the outer ring/trim of the vent and the 66mm you do take off the outer trim. Can someone comfirm this or shed some insight into this for me please. I know there was a post just recently about this in NBs but all the posts in that thread didn't really answer this question.

Thanks
Joel

Im using a 2 1/16' autometer gauge and hence utilising outer ring and airvent ball cage, nice n sluggly fit no rattles.

Get a razor blade and slice a bit of the inner soft plastic off,
a 2.5/8 Autometer boost guage will slide in there nicely and hold itself in 8)
Currently driving an 01' GS300 2jz...

yeah im using a 2 5/8\" and it required just the slightest bit of cutting away the inner plastic inside the dash bit to get it to fit..Not a big job and wont effect the original vent going back in either
