How do you work out what rims will fit a 1990 NA6CE?

Postby siu_loong_bao » Fri Feb 02, 2007 2:19 pm

Hi All,

I am a newbie and have read a thread on rims (love the watanabes), however, I have saw a set of 4 x 100 VOLK trispoke rims for sale with the current configuration:

Front = 17 x 7, +24 Offset
Rear = 17 x 8, +34 Offset

Knowing that the original rims have a +45 offset (correct me if I am wrong), 2 questions:

1. Will the above rims fit and if they do, what mods are required?
2. How do you work out the offsets relative to the width of the rims? ie. If i use 15 x 6, what is max offset? If I use 15 x 6.5, what is max offset? If I use, 15 x 7, what is max offset? I hope I am making sense here...
I've upgraded...

Those fronts will fit, rears... the outside will fit in the guards fine, the inside may not clear the strut, I'm not sure how much room there is in that direction
