just wondering if anyone knows if this will work on our 5s.

the EGO sensor needs to have a 1V ouput. im not sure what the output is on ours with out my multimeter here at work with me.

if it doesn't, could i install a 1V EGO sensor closer to the end of my exhaust, e.g near exhaust tip, and hook it up for tuning..?

what you think guys?

It took me 2 afternoons to put it together, then 3 months to get around to calibrating the bloody thing. Works a treat though!

I really need pics in my thread... :frown:

Calibrating it involves getting a 1V power supply.

Not as easy as it sounds.

you should be able to rig a 1v supply by using a potentiometer tapped off the main power source. astro should know how to do this as it's the method used to calibrate the dfa which he has already built.

I'll still be on the dyno... i have the HKS VPC to tune...

next week when i get the A/F ratio fuel mixture display and DFA installed i'll do some simple fine tuning until i can get back on the dyno again.

right now i need sleep

have to get up early and do my job app still too..

hey Boag's

im having major probs setting up this little thing...

im up to adjusting VR2 but its just not working!

the instructions say earth the sensor signal so i did and then states that you should either get a close to 0.00 or \" - . \" on the display... then you just have to adjust the vr2 or 3 can't rem off the top of my head, until you get 0.00

its not working..! it stays on \" - . \" aaaaaaaargh and yes i've soldered the 1.8k ohm resistor across the 9pin and earth... BAH

advice and help please...!

:? Sorry mate. All I did was solder it then hand it to my mate to calibrate. Try adjusting VR3 around to see if you can get it on the scale. Other than that, I must admit, I am useless as tits on a bull when it comes to electronics.

Fatty, is great with this sort of thing, give him a shout out.

well i have no first hand experience with this particular kit so i don't really have much to add. all i can suggest is that you re-read the calibration instructions and make sure that you follow them to the letter.

sorry, not much help am i ? :(
