hey guys
next question :D

how do you install the universal single wire bosch O2 sensors?

the standard one i have has three wires.. which wire do i use? (please give a color description :D )

1 wire is earth, 1 wire is the sensor wire to the ECU, the other wire is the heater. Sorry not sure of the colour codes though.

You have the wrong sensor. You need a 3 wire sensor. The single wire ones are for the older models without a heater.

Actually, doesn't the standard one have 4 wires? 2 for earth.

havent bought one yet.

4 wires?? hmm was awhile ago that i last played with it.. think it was 3? its a NB8A anyone know for sure? SPOSE i could get off my fat ass and have a look hey :P

on na8 there's 4 wires from the wiring loom going into the connecting block that came with the 4 wire bosch universal o2 sensor. on the wiring loom side the wires are 2 x black & 2 multi-colour (black+?). on the sensor side they are 2 x white, 1 x black & 1 x grey. unfortunately i don't have the old nippon denso sensor, so i can't advise the number of wires it had, but it was either 3 or 4.

got a bosch 4 wire universal.

colours of standard wires from the connect running to the O2 sensor are black black white blue.

looking at the install stuff that came with it. its a straight splice in
