rev dropping/hesitation problem..

Postby vrmmmpshhh » Sat Jan 27, 2007 8:26 am

hey guys, suddenly my revs will drop to 1000rpm or so while im driving and stay there for a while, then either go back to normal or stall. sometimes the car will seem jerky while cruising too.

i know my battery is old but it never has a problem starting. Maybe its the AFM???

im stumped.

mositure?

i had that problem when a bit of water got in to the engine after cleaning the engine bay.

i warmed the engine up and then removed all the plugs.

plugs 1 and 2 were wet and steam was coming out of the cyclinders.

i let them dry off with the plugs removed. drove around a bit after reinstalling and did the whole process again a few times to make sure all the water had evaporated.
