With the rain sydney got last night I decided to test to see if I had an LSD....Nice controlled drift....so the answer is yes, it hasn't tried to run away yet

I suppose I have an LSD too! I'd want to, paid enough to buy it and have it installed.

If there isn't much traction (in the wet) you can drift easily without an LSD. The test is to sit somewhere in the dry, lock the steering wheel to one side, the do a semi-aggressive take-off (not clutch-dump). If the ass just flicks then you have LSD, if the inside spins; open...

What happens if neither of them have traction?

Ill assume thats in reply to my post...
I said:
An OPEN diff WILL lock up BOTH wheels if the clutched is dumped.

Will work without roll back too. A high revving clutch dump will definitely leave two black marks on take-off. I did that in my last MX5 which didn't have an LSD.GP wrote:Yes Kitkat this will work if you do whats called a rollback first, Classic hoons method with an open diff

Sure does...
The good ol open diff E30 love to lock up the rears... could even pop the clutch while heading around corners and it would lock up both and send it into a drift (wet tho)... Dont ask me how i know that tho

Hence my question:
