No, cards and women is taken from another context/situation.

Women and cards = no or little self control.

Perhaps a little shovernistic :P

Pill size? Is this part of your MBC?

Boags, at least the SE auto isn't pulled from a Camry!

THE REAL BORIS wrote:Mr. Blackster, my car produced the same horsepower stock (as did ASE05 on the same ChipTorque dyno) as the one shown with the FM intake (all three cars within 4 rwhp, mine being the highest).

Not sure why you keep on saying your car produced X amounts kw stock, did I say i doubted your figure anywhere? As i said different dynos measure cars differently and theres alot other factors that can affect read outs (gearing, air temp, inertia, tractive effort etc) which is usually set up by each individual tuner.

The above mazdaspeed user appears to be an example and has an alledged mod that should increase his power not go backwards according to your stock figure. Simons SE as well MX5racing SE appear to both run 101rwkw on 4th gear power run stock using dynodynamics. 7-8rwkw difference between identical cars seems excessive unless the latter were running like dogs.

Dynos found here.

http://www.ozautos.com.au/mx5_racing.htm

www.wheelspin.com.au

This is exactly the point I am trying to make. No extra power without turning up the boost pressure, and this is why I have only added the mbc.
I verified all this by just changing the pill size and we got 116.5rwkw; on a completely stock motor. The pill raised the boost to 8.9psig.

How can anyone get 13psig on a stock ECU when it cuts at 10.5, I ask you?

As far as what SMB claim on there website in terms of power and what I have seen are two different things. I watched Simones SE produce a tad over 130rwkw with the Full SPM kit without physically turning up boost, which only can mean that the turbo is restricted by the air intake and exhaust.

MX5racing cars underwent similar type mods and produced 128rwkw @ 9psi with no MBC/EBC. To the point i guess anyone can turn up boost manually and I guess its considered the best bang for buck mod, however if the car remains restricted as far as breathing is concerned wont turning the the boost up make the turbo work harder?

Anyway, I think your taking my posts personally which is not intended and our comments appear to be going off topic, if you want to continue this, perhaps its better served as a pm's?

Important to remember if you free up the breathing - particularly the exhaust, you will see increased boost pressures even without a boost controller be used to manipulate things...
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.

THE REAL BORIS wrote:I have tried to show that a modified factory turbo, with the FM inlet, running at stock boost pressure, did not on its own (effectively) change the power output, period. Only when that same car had the mbc turned up to raise the boost did the same car go from 141rwhp to 170rwhp.

I haven't read the pages of debate here, but it seems people don't accept that conclusion as the results are based on power figures from different cars on different dynos.

Dyno comparisons are only really of use on back to back runs same day, same dyno - Feel free to correct me, but I think that's what people are saying.

I just spoke to Aric, he said the supplier has an ETA of about 10 days before he will get them. Once he gets them, he'll check the contents then ship them over to us. I'll keep you posted.
