This is a really good point, I'm not sure if it includes insurance but I will confirm this before placing the order.

The MazdaSpeed Miata's IHI single-scroll blower produces 8.5 psi of boost to increase power from 142 horses to 178, and torque rises from 125 lb.-ft. to 166. Mazda also added a larger radiator, beefed up the engine mounts, modified the pistons, revised the camshaft, added Denso iridium spark plugs, and topped everything off with a red wrinkle finish valve cover for visual flair. The six-speed manual transmission also gets attention, in the form of more aggressive gear ratios, a stronger clutch and propeller shaft, and a shot-peened linkage for more satisfying shifting. A Bosch torque-sensing limited slip rear differential comes standard on the 2004 MazdaSpeed Miata.
THE REAL BORIS wrote:121 kw is M*zd* bullsh*t. My SE was no different to any MSM stock when dyno'd at 108rwkw at Chiptorque (145 rwhp). That's typical for all the SE's I've seen and typical FM/Begi figures for the MSM's. My car was only weeks old for that figure too. 8.5psig is journo-speak, not typically off the dyno. Incidentally, my stock boost was 7.3psig.
I get no boost creep. The only thing I have had to do is turn the boost down with the onset of the English winter. Now temperatures have flattened out, my mbc has not been touched for a month and no boost cuts. It's my firm belief that changing the inlet system leads to these problems and it's why I have steered away from it.
SMB, didn't they claim 13psig on a "stock ECU" when they were experimenting with Randy's car??????!!!! You have to read between the lines sometimes. http://www.smb.net.au/research.htm NOT sure who SMP is, but early Mania claims were, shall we say, optimistic.
I am NOT criticising just IMHO & what suits me & possibly C+C. I chose the FM because I believe what they have to say is supported and well documented and not been shown to be otherwise. The 2.5" pipe is just fine and a significant improvement over the stock 2.25"; it's stainless and rugged.
