I would have no concerns about driving any of these vehicles, It's all about maintenance
Wasn't having a go at the older cars GP. I'm a big fan of older cars! I own every issue of Classic and Sportscar magazine since June 1992
What I was trying to get accross is that on those roads of a w'end, full of motorbikes racing up the mountain, they would be hounded by motorbikes and likely other cars too. If muzza organised it for a weekday, when there would be much less traffic, it would be a safer and much more pleasant drive for them.
Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.
As I said before Muzza Yan and I would love to come but can't due to having to work. But we look forward to the next invite and hope we will be able to take you up on the offer next time.
As for the other cars attending I have dríven and worked on these models over the years and I would be more than happy to drive any of them in the same situation. A day out with the top down in any car is a great day out traffic or not. They may not be the fastest cars around but they are ragtops so who cares.

hmm, mountains Nebo and Glorious will be a fair slug for them... Not trying to be smart mate, but they could struggle up there - certainly won't be able to wind up to the speed limit too often At the least it might be better to do it on a weekday with less traffic up there. Just a thought, have fun!
So why was this edited out?
The old cars, like the MX-5's, were ok when modded well. I had two Triumph Spitfire Mk3's (the picture is a 4) & an Austin Healey Sprite Mk3; but never a Triumph Sprite.
