Sydney - Recommended Smash Repairer

Postby RDM » Tue Jan 02, 2007 2:19 pm

Hi all,

So is the recommendation of Hume Smash Repairs at Lansvale (Mick) still the go? Will be going thru insurance, but I want quality work... not just any old apprentice joe.

This morning, someone decided to spin off the road straight into my passenger side crushing the door and rear guard... and scratching my left rear wheel as it left... Not happy at all :( And I had only recently washed and waxed the thing...

Great way to start the new year... NOT... :(

I think they are great. They did an insurance job for me and some private stuff. The work was faultless and was completed in exactly the time they said it would be. They seem to take genuine pride in doing a perfect job and Mick was very keen for me to see the quality of the work as it was being completed. Go and see him and I am sure he will look after you.

Cheers for the re-assurance. Will wander out when they re-open.

If you are out Penrith way try Kingswood smash repairs. The work that comes out of there is quite good.

Not to cheap though

Think I'll be giving Hume and Mick a try then, considering the recommendations of you fine folks :D

Coming home after basketball on Fri nite...was stopped at a traffic light coming off the highway...got rearended by an old Commodore, who got rearended first by a Pajero.

My rear bar is gone...so is the panel where the badges are. The bootlid is slightly curved up but I think the chassis is fine.

The Commodore was much worse off. It looked like it had been reduced to a hatchback

The Pajero driver had actually been drinking. As soon as I talked to him, I smelt alcohol on his breath and immediately called the cops.

Drink drivers *argh*

And my rearbar was a Racing Beat one too....rats....don't think they'll be replacing that. Probably end up with a stock rear bar....oh well....

 Bad news Deez. Hope you are OK and that he wasn't over the limit as his insurance company will drop him like a hot cake. :(

I would give Mick a call straight away as he will probably have some good advice on how to manage the claim given the situation. Good luck with it.
