not sure of it's worth going aftermarket unless you are gonna take yr car on the track occasionally.

happy to be corrected if i'm off the mark, just repeating what i've heard

I think this is generally true, except that the Mazda OEM pads are usually more expensive than aftermarket

My vote is for Bendix Ultimate. You may need the extra distance they will go one day. More money but worthwhile I believe.

Looks like we have a few takers then.
Everyone who is keen PM me for the address.
Weather forecast is few showers.
How does a 10am kickoff sound, I will have my timing belt changed by then so no need for too early a start.

Mon,
If you are not pushing your car hard enough to get brake fade with standard pads, bendix advance will be fine.
It is worth changing your brake fluid as well. Brake fluid is hydroscopic so it absorbs water, as the water boils in the brake fluid you will also get brake fade.

i have a rear wing spoiler i have been umming and aahing about installing as well. maybe i should bring it along and let the group decide whether it goes on the car or not :?  :frown:

i have the wing but don't have bolts or a template for the holes, or anything like that . will bring it along anyway.

might have to replace my instrument pod too.

gee, i guess now that i think about it, my car needs a lot of work! :D

That would be nice, cos I think I want to change my fuel filter.

Does anyone know how to do that without getting petrol all over yourself?

Rob,
Thanks mate, Mon has already taken care of that.

I have the factory workshop manual but not the owners handbook.
