sway bar and rear sub frame brace installed

Postby Astroboysoup » Mon Dec 18, 2006 9:07 am

installed my new toys over the weekend and its great.

can feel the difference, i just don't have the balls to push the car any further.

i feels so strange for the car not to roll as much as it use to and knowing when the back of the car was going to slide out. well not so much as knowing but you could feel when it was going to kick out better.

just need a new alignment and wheel balance. would love some new brakes too... they keep locking up..

and perhaps some better stickies

Yeah it is pretty amazing isnt it?

Ive had them installed for a few days now the difference in how my ride handles now is astounding.

Its hard to believe how much two bars of metal can transform the handling to such a degree...

*Note to self... Must stop spending money on the car!*

Astro - If your brakes are locking up then you don't need an upgrade! They'll only lock up if they are too good. It might mean your tyres are dead and not holding the car to the road properly. I'm going to look into getting the brake bias valve from a 1.8 too, it gives more rear bias, stopping the fronts from locking up so soon. Mine haven't locked since I got new tyres though, and my tyres are CHEAP!

PS - Glad to hear it all went in ok!

You need to go to the gym more if you can't lock a wheel.

 They lock if I jam the anchors... What I meant was it used to lock up under moderate to heavy braking, when I wasn't standing on them. It doesn't do that anymore.

Astro...
do yourself a favour and ditch those tyres ASAP!

i had sh*t tyres, and the week before i upgraded them, i spun out in the wet and cracked a rim as the arse end shot up a gutter sideways. i was lucky that that was pretty much the extent to the damage.

PLEASE listen when those on here preach the importance of tyres. it just aint worth the grief.

PS, if anyone wants 1, 2 or 3 NA rims with 4 centre caps PM me!
