I think when I purchase mine, I'll go with black. Who owns the black 5 with the red interior? That looks HOT.

Black MX5's look shmick!! But they are so so so hard to keep clean

nah they're not......stop sookin' :P ............although i probably have a slight advantage.......5500 litres of rainwater parked behind the 5 in the carport :P :P

I'm pretty sure most of the owners of Yellow MX5s are banking on their cars becoming sought-after vehicles and appreciating significantly in value in a few years time. Therefore the cars are seen as being too precious to be let out on the roads.

Like most other members of this forum I like to keep my 5 in good nick. I'm certainly not worried her appreciating in value, and she is always out on the road on the weekend.....she is too much fun to leave hiding in a garage. Having said that I know someone with a Malibu Gold that has put 50,000km on the car in the 10 years he has owned her. Last I heard he wanted $20,000+ for her, immaculate car though.

As always nice photos Andrew. Good to see that two of the three Malbiu Golds were in my hands.

Is this what you have in mind C? Image

PS: Malibu get's HEAPS of km's under its belt. All of 41,000kms in 5 years. That's 8,000kms per year you know :D :D Not bad for a daily driver.
