Christmas Lights Night Run - Saturday 16-12-06[QLD Club Run]

The year is drawing to an end, christmas is just around the corner and the weather is heating up. Soon the sun will cook you like a turkey in the oven and the kids will be nagging you for christmas presents... this could just be your last chance at freedom untill the new year comes...

So we're going to end the year with a cool twilight run followed by some pizza for dinner. And because its almost Christmas we're going to check out the local houses covered in christmas lights.

Meet: Elsie Laver Park, Mudgeeraba, Exit 79 Pacific Hwy
Time: 5:30pm for a 6:00pm departure

A quick run down: We'll start off by taking a quick run over one of the local mountain tops, then its off to Ashmore/Benowa to have a peek at some of the Christmas light displays. From there its a quick drive down the road to our dinner destination Camelot Cafe.

I will have menu's on the night and will be taking orders when we stop to look at the pretty lights, this is just so we get our meals quicker when we arrive at our dinner location. (Pizza's are around $17 for a LARGE, those who joined in on the very first friday night run will remember this pizza joint)

Run sheets will be provided on the night.
If you have a Santa costume then put it on, if not then find yourself a santa hat... a prize will also be given out to the best decorated christmas car. So strap up some tinsel and get decorating.

16th and not the 15th ? Saturday night not Friday night ?

yes it is a Saturday night... This event was discussed at the recent chapter review breakfast and alot of members were unavailable for friday night. So we decided to make it Saturday.
