Yepp, it's tyre time again. I'm dumping the ES100's and looking to move to either T1Rs ($165) or Precedas ($200).
Has anyone seen a back to back comparo including these tyres?
Thanks,
Alf

TyrePower is a big chain (not sure but may be franchises). Availability may depend on size. My local guy has them for in 16s for $165, I can get them tomorrow.
However, the more reviews I look at, the more I'm inclined to spend the extra $35 and get the Michelin Pilot Precedas, which, while they seem to be a downmarket Pilot developed for and sold only in the Asian market, do seem to outperform the T1Rs which seem to consistently come out in the bottom third of pretty much all tests.
The T1Rs, however are praised by many on this forum. Perhaps they perform differently on the MX-5 compared to BMWs.
Cheers,
Alf

Mine are great, and even better after a wheel alignment and they look good too...nicer than the PP2, but the PP2 is getting rave reviews so it's a hard decision.

Didn't think I see the day when you would admit to buying a tyre for its looks rather than its performance

I bought if for both reasons actually, that and it was supporting Blairs Tyres who were kind enough to do a Tech Talk night for us. I'm happy!
*That and the PP2 looks like nanna designed it!*
