Hoping we get a very good turn out.

I wouldn't worry too much, best spot to get a park will probably be teh train station...

Short report from the meeting
We had a very decent roll out on Saturday with between 20 and 30 people showing up, including a couple of non-members who diligently completed Club Membership Application forms on the day.
President George gave a very thorough and detailed explanation of the genesis of the Hunter Chapter and the philosophy behind the Club in general.
Convenor Sean outlined the basic plans for the Club, one Club run per month (as can be arranged) and one social gathering per month with these functions to avoid clashes with other Club events. Certainly the venue for the inaugural Chapter meeting appears to be a great venue for future social events, especially if a concourse could be arranged in Wheeler Place. And, of course, there is a Christmas function to arrange.
Plans are to obtain leaflets / cards to start dropping on the numerous MX5s around town to increase awareness of the local Chapter. Whilst we sat in Juicy Beans Cafe, I spotted 2 silver NAs drive past, obviously oblivious to the Chapter meeting.
A select few brave souls then braved the blistering midday sun and held a short cruise along George Booth drive out to Kurri Kurri for lunch. Found a good pub with decent food, unless that is you ordered the battered fish.
So a good and promising first meeting with a fun short cruise to top it off. Looking forward to the Chapter building with regular events.

I was really pleased with the turn out.
So many keen and smiling faces is always a very welcoming sight and I have to thank you all for your hospitality and enthusiasm.
I'm sure the Hunter Chapter will go from strength to strength over the coming months.
Good luck to all of you and remember that the main club is happy to help out whenever we can.

Timely reminder for the Convenor's BBQ this Sunday. The Club website has taken down the January Events PDF already, so I shall hassle Sean to advise.
Up near a dam up Maitland way?
Bring own grog, other assorted drinks and meat!
I've also been advised that the Regalia Officers, the Estreichs, shall be there, so bring an open wallet!
