Guard rolling isn't expensive....I paid $25 per guard, but make sure the guy who does it is good tho...I've had jobs on other cars done which were shockingly poor.

Thanks for the suggestions :) Can you recommend a good place for guard rolling in Sydney? Thanks.

Actually no...the guy did a great job on my MX5, took his time, got each side looking the same, etc, but when I took my other car to him, he was in a hurry, started bashing the guard with a hammer, etc :(

So yeah, if you find a good place to get it done, let me know, I'm on the lookout too :D

25 Offset on 7" wide rims running 195/55r15
no scrubbing at all.....

thats only because its running the 4x4 suspension. :D
damn dish looks sexy though..

15x7's will be fine i'd go 205... the wider you go the better it looks. 215 would be widest legal and prolly in my opinion best looking.

i did run 225's looked great felt bouncy and squirmy. but couldnt damage my rims even if i tried and looked PHAT as!! :D

it really depends what look your after.. you can go narrow ruber to get the drifto look where the sidewalls tapper in wards slightly.
or like i tend to go the phatt racey look with the widest rubber you can get on to small diameter rims.

if your having trouble getting your melon round all the numbers go to this site

http://www.1010tires.com/tech.asp

and have a wonder. theres all you need to know and alot of handy tools to use when checking sizes.

as far as i know with legality its basical 1inch wider max width, rolling diameter (not rim dia) and 50mm wider track (1 inch a side offset sorta kinda)

correct me if im wrong ppl.

We all have sexy Clubman's :P

+45 is only the standard offset on the standard narrow wheels

I rolled my guards on the side of a country road with a thick branch from a tree, worked really well, no paint damage at all. It was only after we got back and decided to go over it with a pipe (even rolled in rags) that we cracked the paint straight away

Flat white Clubman. Rubbed it back the other day. Paint was all screwed from a close meeting with a wire fence courtesy of my cousin

Hi mate, good to see a fellow newbie! And thanks for all of your response as well guys. Zoomzoom, can you pls post some pics of ur ride? I'm interested to know what the 15x7's with +35 offset looks like as that would *probably* be close to the configuration I'll end up with.

Thanks !

Adam and GreenComet.....your cars look AWESOME. Oh man.....I really do gotta consider rolling the guards. On the other hand, I don't really want the hassle of doing so....Christ....what a predicament!

2 inch diameter, 18 inch long branch. Get a mate to rest it on the wheel and lean on it, then you move the car forwards and backwards. As long as you do it gradually enough, and the wood is still green, it won't harm the paint at all

I think hot paint is more flexy (soft) so less likely to crack than cold paint. Hit the guard with a hair dryer for a while or heat gun (careful it will bubble the paint if you leave it too long).

Guys,

I went to JDMyard in Padstow this arvo....checked out some of their range and seemed that Buddy Clubs are quite nice and relatively inexpensive. I was looking at a set of 15x7\" SF's and the guy told me that the max offset I can get for those rims are +35 :?:

How did u guys achieve +15 or +30 with your rims??

I've got 15 x 7 +17 BuddyClub P1's, I think they came on a import from Japan.

How much were new SF's?
