dodgey day - 18-19/11/06 - updated - CANCELLED

Postby muzza2 » Tue Oct 24, 2006 10:05 am

due to unforseen circumstances i have had to cancel BOTH dodgy days due to work, b-days & my brother coming over.

as im moving out of home in december im not sure when i'll be able to host a dodgy day

I DO APOLIGISE TO EVERY WHO WAS ATTENDING
!

ok, so i'll be hosting a dodgy day at my house

part a will be around 18/19 weekend
and part b will be around 25/26 weekend

YES! there will be 2 weekends in a row where i'll be hosting a dodgy day

i'll be doing 2 YES 2 engine changes (1 per week)

I do have a hoist - depending on what happens i think the engine swap people will get first choice depending on if they need it or not.

basically my garage can fit maybe 4 cars in there and it will already have 3 other cars (parents cars) in there
so its a huge shed!

i have every tool under the sun in there, including a sand blaster, welder, drill press, air compressor, hoist, spray gun (not very good though), drills, dremmals, ect - u name it we should have it.

all are welcome! - thoes who want to stay over are more then welcome to.
i have a pool table, 3 showers, 3 spare bedrooms, a few tv's, someone might want to bring a 3rd generation gaming system because i only have a ps1

so if there is something u would like to do post here and it should be do able!

*btw i live out at jimboomba (40 mins south of brisbane)
www.whereis.com for more info =)

****UPDATE****

can i get a list of thoes who are coming on either one of these days, and if your going to be staying
and if your going to be bringing tools, jackstands, ect.

PM me if you need my address / phone number

I'll be there. Won't be sleeping over though.

At this point in time count me in for the first one, but possibly not the second.

I may also be in need of a couch or otherwise comfy place to rest my head overnight.

Proposed install work will revolve around boost, or parts thereof.

Will there be wingzzzzzzzzzzz?

I should be good for the first one. Do we need the seal insertion tools and engine leveler?

Please do, Andrew. The leveller will come in handy - I'd like to do my engine on one of the dodgy days too - assuming I get the bloody ARPs.

I have ARPs etc - but I won't be doing my engine at the dodgy day. I've decided that after the engine goes in, I'm going to do the runin process and take it straight for a tune. So - plenty of time to work on everyone else's cars (yet again :P)

Do we have a proposed projects list yet?

My initial job will be to fit the new Mazdaspeed LSD (including removing the halfshafts from the old one to reuse).....

There may be some turbo related work too.......

I will officially have NOTHING to do except replace my gear knob. In fact I may even demand that Jules pick me up and drive me there as a penalty. Then I can cook wingzzz and drink beer with no thought to having to drive home.

And this time. I want to see the Top Gear episodes.
