Extractors, high-flow CAT, THEN piggy back ECU or complete aftermarket. What's his budget? Givign a dollar figure will get more responses I think.

Yes it has variable inlet cam timing. No, it is not like the honda VTEC and he would be much better off looking at an interceptor like a XEDE or Haltech Interceptor to adjust the AFRs and let the original ECU control the VCT. Or, a full standalone ECU such as the Hydra, Haltech E8, Motec or Autronic which will control everything. I konw the first three can, not sure about the Autronic. Whatever standalone ECU he chooses it must also do alternator field control which the stock ECU does too.

Otherwise, it's a whole world of pain.

Any particular reason why your choosing the haltec over the the XEDE for you racey?

Not to hijack but the E8 can control VCT and does alternator field control. It's a full standalone though whereas the Xede is just an piggyback. Haltech support is excellent thus far too which always helps.
