Deep Dish Rims that fit the NA

Hi Guys,

Im considering a new set of shoes for my NA and was really interested in a deep dish set.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should be looking for in terms of offset - manufacturer etc

I just recently got my guards rolled back in so Im interested in a set that doesnt rub the guards if possible - 15\" => 17\" are the sizes Im looking for.

In terms of wheel size and dish, even with rolled guards you can't really put anything on with more dish than: 7in +20 offset or 6.5in +14 offset.

Generally most of the wheels you get locally are a FWD offset, which are usually +35, which is not dished at all, this is due to the MX5 sharing a wheel stud pattern with most if not all the FWD shopping trolleys.

How much were you willing to spend? Some of the Japanese brands do make a dished offset wheel in our stud pattern, but they're somewhat more exxy than the usual China/Thailand/Philippines-made wheels you get at your local tyre shop.

After further pondering, I think I might just save a bit more and get the Mazdaspeed flared guards rather than rolling the existing ones out.

or try Aussie brand like simmons

or go german brand like Brock

Yep, WORK make some nice wheels with a lot of dish. I will be picking up some Work Zenart 15x7 ET25....A little tricky as they no longer make them but i have someone hunting in Japan for them. Heaps of dish but fairly exxy $2K for a set used. Unfortunately the real JDM look costs

Well, my personal favourite are Watanabes, 15x6.5in with +14 offset. This actually isn't an officially-available offset anymore but Watanabe can do custom offsets at a cost.

Work Equip is available in 7in+14 offset.


Rays TE37 is available in 14x7 with +20 offset (but no bigger in 14in):


Enkei RP-F1 is also available in +20 offset, but only in 14x7 (ultra light though, three-point-something kgs):


Work Meister is a 2pc available in custom offsets too but is mega expensive:

ok,

i finally did a test fit with my WORK wheels..

15x8, +35.

195/50/15 rubber and it fits, but the inner lips seem to rub.
ill do a guard roll and i reckon it will be fine

they fill the guards brilliantly..
