Rear Control arm bushes

I think my rear control arm bushes are worn and when launching it tends to make the rear wheels slightly move forwards and backwards under load.

firstly, does anyone have any old rear bushes that they can give me so I can get some solid metal ones made and does anyone have experience with solid bushings?

Secondly, where can I get some cheap new harder bushes?

They are urethane instead of rubber - plenty stiffer.

Don't forget that using firmer bushings will stiffen the ride up a bit, and also ad a lot of \"crashiness\" to the suspension.
They will allow less free-play in the suspension and more accuracy but will also generate more noise and a harsher ride.

The SuperPro bushes don't add to much to the Road Noise. And they will NOT stiffen the ride up One bit . they will Improve the response from the steering input. I have them in one of Our NA's and They are the Bee's Knee's IMO.
When I first put bushes in my 200 000km Clubman I used STD bushes
because i didn't want teh harshness of Urathane bushes

Now I have a set of bushes that have only done 15 000km and in the next month will be throwing them out to put Superpro Ones in

I did all the lower control arm bushes and noted almost no increase in harshness and a somewhat increase in crispness, nothing huge though.

So what do they cost and where is the best place to get them?

I dont really care about firmness, and feeling he road etc, just as long as they dont flex and make my wheel angle move on big launches.

I paid about $100 a corner for 2 bushes fitted to each control arm. That was taking the arms in seperatly though.

Is this something we could do on a dodgy weekend?...I did the Starlet's lower control arm not awhile ago, took ~2 hour once the arms are out.

How much just for the bushing kit for MX5 (KIT131K)?

Damn looks like there's quite a few things to do this dodgy november.

In hindsight I should haver also done the lower outer rears as they have a further 2 bushes. To do the lot there are 20 bushes all up. Would be about $800-900 including fitting if you drop the arms off.

You'll need a wheel alignment afterwards aswell, mine was WAY out even though I lines the markers up the same as previously. I was fortunate in that Cal was building his racecar and had his arms already out. I got my bushes pressed into his arms, then put his arms onmy car and gave him my arms to put his bushes in.

Thanks Brad, just called Fulcrum and for club member, $550 for KIT131K and $600 for KIT132K, these are just for the kit no fitting added.

I just got all new urathane bushings for the rear for $200 is that a good price.... I can get some more if people are interested

Lower control arm inners + outers

I'm not sure what Fulcrum charges for just rear bushings, though I'd imagine the fronts would cost slightly more, as most of the handling improvements/affect are more noticable on the front and I think there are more bushings on the there as well, steering rack for example. That's if they price according to improvements.

The quote that I was given $550 was discount for club members but I'd imagine it'd be much better if you have a trade account or able to get trade pricing.
