Looks like the clutch is fixed and working. JBT dropped by tonite and helped me ascertain exactly how much clutch actuator travel I was getting, and where it was taking up.

Adjusting both the clutch takeup point and clutch height has given me full clutch pedal travel, and a disengage point about 1/2 way towards the bottom of pedal travel and take up at about 1/3 of the return travel.

Pedal pressure is a little harder than standard, but it bites nicely :)

When you say actuator travel, take up point and clutch height what exactly are you referring to?

You hadn't tried adjusting the stud on the pedal to start with (which goes into the master)

Great to hear it's working though.

Pics from my car.........hmmmm..... 11 years of brake fluid mist there.

Clutch switch adjustment changes pedal height and pushrod adjustment changes freeplay.

After UA adjusted things, there was an extra 3mm of slave pushrod travel which made a big difference to the pedal height at clutch engagement.

So, can we say the clutch replacement was a success now?

Can I touch wood??? :D (and that's enough out of you wayne!!! )

It seems to be working well - I'll check that there's no leakage on the weekend, but it feels good to drive.

I had done so a couple of times, but I hadn't gone as far as the pedal height - what isn't immediately obvious is just how much those two factors actually rely on eachother with the higher pressure clutch. I'm thinking now it actually needs much more travel than the standard item.
