I couldn't find my torch so it was a bit hard to see but from the centre, measurement from the carpet to top of the bar looked to be 46.5cm.
70 240z done!! Well almost.

Thanks Mossy - great stuff
From memory the BD sits quite snug and just under the rear most soft top support bar. Is this right?

Thanks BigDog - i am looking for the tallest bar that will fit under the top...the guys in the states reckon the Hard Dog Hard Core (HDHC) gives the most height (up to 2 inches more than others). Obviously, the BD is an easy local option, however from memory it sits fairly well back and just under the rear most soft top bar. I think the HDHC may sit forward of the rear most soft top support, and this is where the extra clearance comes from (im not too concerned if i lose 1-2 inches of leg room as i will be using a fixed back seat.
Cheers
