It's bushes, common problem...
I think it's the lower a arm bushes that go from memory, someone will confirm though I'm sure.

they easyest way to check from wheel baring movement is this, Jack the car up and grab the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock. and try to wabble it up and down , in and out sorta thing, if it has movement then it is probly a wheel baring, when u wabble it look for the movemeent. Put your hands at 3, and 9 then try to wabble it side to side( not turning the steering wheel) if their is movement then its probly a tierod end or a tie rod where it joins the rack, again if their is movement try to see what part is moving.
