Hi guys,
Out of interest, where should my oil pressure gauge be sitting when the car is warm and at idle RPMs?
Somewhere around the 2 marker? Higher? Lower?
Any ideas?
Cheers,

Around 2 seems to be the common figure, but I think there's lots of room for variation.
My car on a warm day sees it sitting at a fair bit under 2, and Mania's yellow beast has it at just over 1 when idle
The more important thing is that it sits between 3 and 4 when at 3000rpm
.
By the way, the oil grade (and age) makes a big difference to the pressure. Thicker oil -> higher pressure, generally speaking.
