The bolts on the end of the camshafts which hold the pulleys on have 14mm heads. I have two shifters and a clamp we can use to lock the cams in place to remove the pulley wheels without issue.

MonSqueek, the bulbs look like this:

you can use those lil orange bulbs... depends how you want to do it.

I chose to make the large section the parkers and make the lil section on the outside the indicators... it makes for some very effective parkers!
Basically i switched them around.

Involves a lil bit or wiring but nothing major, only downside is that your indicators blink faster, but that just means the idiots around ya will take more notice!

There will be interesting (bling) stuff for people to check out (MX5 related) on the day.

Someone mentioned DVDs of Top Gear? The lap top will be in place - might even bring down the bigger LCD monitor.

I have the Miata Performance project manual as a how to for just about everything, and oil drain pans, brake bleed kit, all sorts of tools, etc etc etc.

I have vehicle stands if needed, and a trolley jack. If you want/need vehicle ramps or additional stands you will need to bring them.

All will be available on the day.

For jobs requiring concrete hardstand area to work on - best to get to my pleace earlier rather than later - Jules - you in particular - waterpump and timing belt is a bit of a timeconsuming exercise - I'll put your car where mine normally is.

This is gonna be HUGE, and I will also tell everyone that my birthday is the Wednesday prior, so offerings of cake, beer and (car) bling are always welcome :D

I reckon Jules' job can be wrapped up pretty quickly. BTDT :)

I'll bring along:
  • 150W floor halogen light
  • dual 500W halogen on stand
  • the flourescent worklight
  • Double adaptors
  • Permatex, maniseal
  • Big + small toolboxes
  • 3/8\" ratchet set
  • Torque wrench
  • Two shifters + quick release C-clamp (for Jules' timing belt)
  • Wiss snips (I'm doing my front grill
  • Paint (see above)
  • Marker pen (again)
  • Screwdriver set
  • Electrical stuffs
  • Couple of rags
  • Bleeder kit
  • Brake fluid

I think that should cover it??

I can also bring along Top Gear episodes and the like assuming someone else doesn't have the whole of the last season.

Wondered why your indicators looked like they were on speed. Thought it was kinda cool though.

Ok - I can get them lil ones in the pic? I got to super cheap - find 5watt orange bulbs - any that look like that will do? (No fancy screw in or t-bars to worry about like house light globes?) and bob's me uncle?

Jules

Yeah - come round earlier if you like - and rather than DVD and popcorn we can do a spot of breakky - in fact - for anyone who wants to do that -come early (8am) and we can do bacon and eggs on the BBQ. Gives the cars time to cool down and allows a bit of planning (which usually chews up an hour anyway).

If I haven't done them already by then, any problems if I paint my calipers while there?
