Rear Camber bolt question

Postby nfs13b » Mon Sep 11, 2006 11:33 am

Hey, I have another question/problem in regards to my mx5.

My rear wheels keep moving torwards (Toe In??). It seems that the camber bolts (If thats the right word) arent holding in place and are moving under load and are moving towards the front of the guard.

I keep moving them back but it just doesnt help.

Is anyone else hoving this problem, do I need to get new bolts and will that fix the problem or can I get the alignment to how I need it and then tack weld the bolts into place?

How old is your car? At some point (mid-90's?) they revised the camber bolts to have a better plate design and a finer pitch thread, which means they can be tightened more.

Order them at a Mazda dealer: Part number NAY9-26-6AZ is the whole bolt, plate and nut kit.

each kit is one bolt, one plate, one nut. You'd need 8 in total for both ends of the car.

My records show I paid $99 for a set of 8... so about $12 each

Cool Thanks for that, I might get one side and see if it fixes the problem. Its a real pain in the ass moving the wheels back after each race.

2 per corner.

1 at each attachment point for the lower wishbone.
