The KIA Sephia (and Sportage?) engine was/is a Mazda BP (1800) built under licence and I believe the KIA HLAs are a lot cheaper than Mazda ones.

Call another dealer, call a ford dealer, call for help!!! Aftermarket ones are available for about $30 each. Speak to an engine reconditioner in your area for help.
