[QLD] Allstar Tuning Systems Queensland Challenge 2006

Postby Fra66L » Thu Jul 27, 2006 10:49 am

Guys,
The SuppRegs and Entry Form are up on the BSCC website...
The blurb...

This event promises to be as enjoyable as previous years with over 300km of enjoyable roads, and 8 special tests (Speed and Autotests). These may include Queensland Raceway, Willowbank raceway, Gatton, Prince Henry Drive, Morgan Park, Kalbar and Wivenhoe spillway. So the co-driver doesn't get bored, we have also thrown in some navigation along the way.

Last year there were in excess of 70 entries, so get in early as we may have to impose a limit on the field to ensure we can run all competitors at the test venues.

Cheers,
T

Well, the roadwork for the event was done last weekend. I still somehow covered 500km in the day. We had to change the course somewhat as one of the special tests I just couldn't put in due to the condition of the road. Anyhow, roads look good and there is some excellent driving in there. Speed events look fine. There will be a couple of tricks that will sort out the good navs, without getting the whole field lost.

So all in all, we are very happy with the course and roll on Aug 26.

hmmmm very tempting even more so after a few weeks of driving the smiths truck around the valley, am 50:50 at this stage as we are working on a few projects around the house.

Is there a special stage in an industrial estate at ipswich ???

I hear these things from people then try and influence the process.

Adam, I don't think so. But if you tell me where the roads are, I will see about using them

Wasn't it on the way to Church? I'm sure i saw you at Church on Saturday.

Looks like you have the same way of preventing those Magpies from dive bombing you as well. :D

I haven't heard anything about results yet.

Just thought you had to get an early start to make it in time for church.
