I'm still waiting for it. I was wondering what happened to the other one, actually.
On the 12th and 13th of next month I'm busy, but the other weekends are free for me.
Boags is having a dodgey day!

I'm pretty impressed with Mikey's place?? We could do it whilst he's away.
We could do it at my place, except it's about to go on the market
Wayne's perhaps. I don't mind travelling if necessary. I could even go for a \"Travel to Brissy friday night, drinkfest, get into car first thing in the morning when the engine is nice and cool\" kinda debauchery.

Boags will no doubt post later. OMY005 and I turned up at about 0945 after getting through the world's biggest traffic jam......I couldn't even get out of my bloody street
Problems found with the Boagsmobile:
1. Lower plastic cam covers all twisted and deformed (a bit like Boags) and had actually been worn through in one place . Cause unknown but probably poor job by the mechanic who replaced the cam belt 10,000km ago. New covers required and bought from MX-5 Plus.
2. Intake cam advanced by one tooth. Cause as above. Once this was corrected, the ignition timing magically came back to exactly 10 degrees BTDC without touching anything else. Ignition timing was subsequently advanced to 16 degrees at Boags' direction.
3. Old radiator has not been tested and could be fine. Top tank is good - looks like it has been replaced - but the core cooling fins are a bit bent in many places - needs JBT intake grille. New (second hand) radiator has doubtful top tank and is crazed but the core is good - now fitted at Boags direction. I don't think the old radiator is/was causing the overheating. Could have been the advanced intake cam timing or................
4. Cooling fan U/S - working replacement required which Boags was going off to get from MX-5 plus at about 1415 when OMY005 and I headed off home.
One beer for me, one lemonade for OMY005 and no pizza or BBQ . I told you I'd bag you Boags
OMY005 has some pics.

THAT'S FRIGGEN PATHETIC!!!!
Boag's, you will have to lift your game bucko!
We don't like that sort of Candy Assed approach in \"Team Dodgy QLD\".
Reprimand is in the mail.
JBT, I think you will have to think twice about entertaining THAT sort of leech in the future.

Good day was had by all (especially Richard at MX5 Plus).
Some pics of the dodgyness.
Now where is that spanner
JBT hard at it.
Before re-alignment.
After re-alignment.
Dodgyness (literally)from someone else. One tooth out.
Extreme dodgyness from someone else
JBT and myself waited for Boags to nip over to MX5 plus and get another timing cover. Over an hour later he comes back and tells us he had to first find the crate the engines were in. Then find a forklift to lift the crate down. Then lift the engine out of the crate and finally dismantle it to get the cover off. We thought he had done a runner on us.
Andrew.

Comon folks, I wasn't too sure how well suggesting a beer at 11am on a Thursday would go down, I guess I was wrong!
And i did offer lunch, anything at all, but those two pikers wanted to scram!
Anyhow, a considerable step forward today, and a considerable amount of money spent, other than 3 trips to MX5 Plus, I had a visit to Fulcrum, who had got my springs in and new bumpstops. Did you know how much bumpstops cost???? They saw me coming *limps away with an arm and leg missing*
So i've been compressing springs all afternoon... and just walked in to sit down and find my car being whored out for some dodgey fooking eBay add!
Well, thank-you JBT and Andrew for helping out today, and sorry to those who can only do weekends, cause I have to drive to Warwick tomorrow night for a 7:20am start at Morgan Park Raceway on Sat morning for the \"Drive Safe\" advanced driver training day! WOOHOO
Boags
PS - I can't see any of Andrew's piccies, is it just me?

It's running very nicely JBT!
A little less oomph in mid range but it's OK.
I'll tell you tomorrow after the track time!
