KYB vs Koni

Looking at replacing my NA8 Clubman Bilsteins in my NA6 soon with some adjustable shocks. Was going to go with either the KYB or Koni adjustables. Just wondering what everyones opinions are on both of these and pros / cons if any.

On an NA I prefered KYB AGX's to Koni Yellow's. I've never tried AGX's on an NB.

One of the big advantages of the AGX's is the ease of adjustment. Just reach under the guard and twiddle a knob. With the Konis at best you need to pop the bonnet, at worst you need to rip the boot lining out. The KYB's also adjust compression and rebound where as the Koni's only do compression.

Both are good quality shocks and you wont go wrong either way.

i have the KYB AGX's. so so easy to change...takes 1-2min for all 4 wheels. i guess they r both very similiar, i ended up choosing KYB because it was so easy to change and had the rebound compression.

I've got no complains about my KYB's. Feel free to twiddle my knobs anytime, to see how easy it is!

I've had my KYB's in my NA6 for almost twelve months. 6 track days, 7 hillclimbs , 3 motorkhana's. Like all the comments before ...I'd have no hesitation recommending them. Easy to adjust. You will notice a big difference to the Clubman Bilsteins ...the ability to adjust makes it so easy. Soft for around town, stiff for the track ...when the 'co-pilot' hops in with a full load of fuel for a run in the country ...add another click to the rear. Best money I ever spent. Love them.

I love the KYBs on the NA for all the reasons given above. Longevity is the big question though. I've seen some say they're stuffed after 10k, others saying they're still good at 100k.

Has anyone out there put many kms on KYBs?

mmm so it seems I have really been having a good think about these KYB AGX from Ebay. Anybody else bought these off Ebay? Anyone had any troubles with them etc?

How does the KYB AGX with OEM springs combo affect ride height?
From I can find on here, KYB's don't have a perch height adjustment like Koni do they?

The KYB's also adjust compression and rebound where as the Koni's only do compression.

Compression and rebound adjust? With only one dial? Me needs some educating - please enlighten!

compression and rebound DAMPENING, NOT adjust. i.e. the shock can dampen when going down(compressed) and up. konis only have compression. this really makes no real difference though....

Actually all shocks worth their salt will control compression and rebound however the KYB mechanism adjusts the amount of compression and rebound damping. Not seperately, but at the same time. The Konis only adjust rebound damping.

I have no idea how the KYB's do it, I haven't seen inside of one.
