dw about the white smoke i also get the same thing and the car is also parked in the garage. (it may be in the garage but it is winter and is still cold)
one morning start it up, wait a 30seconds ad check out the tip, you can rub your finger on the inside and feel all the moisture. I also have a 3\" tip so i can see all the moisture inside.
Im guessing the black smoke at start up is just the cold start.... im pretty sure the car runs richer at startup.

You get condensation as the water vapour in the exhaust gases condenses on the cold exhaust pipework on cold start, that is your white smoke and water. The larger the exahust the greater the surface area and hence the greater the condensation, probably why you have noticed it more since the exhaust?
In short, nothing to worry about!
Black smoke is probably the choke, and may be compounded by dirty injectors, are you using PULP?

going by your posts it doesn't sound like your car is doing anything out of the ordinary for an na. my na8 is similarly sooty as was my na6.
