Why? If you actually knew the guy you'd realise he's one of the nicest and generous people out there. Sure he may not be quick but he's big enough to admit when he stuffs up, and can actually afford to be out there racing that car, which many people can't as they bankroll theirs and are stuffed if they bin it.

Like who? If you are talking about the incident in T1 opn lap 2 then neither can was damaged and it was a pretty hard to say who was a fault without having the benefit of a replay.

Gross generalisation. Besides, he would have taken us out if he was after the crew with the nicle and dime budget. :?

Cal.

PS did we meet you on the weekend?

As someone who competed on the track with the 430 i can only say at all times he gave us plenty of racing room. I managed to be on the outside of him right through turn 1 and this is something where an enormous amount of trust is involved. As we were in a group of MX5's we were passed a few times by him over the weekend. He was also a thoroughly nice guy to talk to and a lot more accommodating (on and off the track) than some of the other quick cars!!

Oh okay cool. We had some great dices with you guys over the weekend. We were the fluro green one #22. Couldn't quite catch you in the first 5 lap race on Sunday morning. The lap times of the 2 cars were very similar. Look forward to racing against you again. You going to Phillip Island for the 1hr down there?

Ahhh that pesky Kermit!!!

Definitely a pleasure to race with you guys…… very close but still enough room!!

The 5 lappers were good for us thanks to a great start and a VERY WIDE MR2 that helped keep you guys at bay. Your car seemed to come on strong around the 3rd lap then it was a battle to keep you behind. When you did get past….. well off you went. We weren’t helped by a drive through for speeding in the pits (44 km/h). A great weekend was had by all and we hope to see you all down here again soon.

The MG Racing ( www.mgracing.com.au ) guys are keen to have a one make/model race for either MX5’s and or Mazda’s. You QLD’ers seem to be good at organising this sort of race with grids full of MX5’s!! We need a minimum of 15 cars for us to have our own race. There will be a few more NSW competitors and those from anywhere else are all invited too.

The next MG Racing meet is at Wakefield Park in October and we would love to have you all here for another great couple of days racing.

We wont be at the 1 hour this year but will be doing the AROCA 6 hour in November at E/Creek.

Chris.

I wondered if there was a radar in pit lane, because I certainly couldn't see it, but sat on 40km\\h anyway. Wondered what happened to you guys.

Yes that MR2 can make itself very broad indeed. Once I shook him in my 5 lapper there was not enough laps to have a crack at passing you guys. Was very close on the last lap though and youbeat us by .5 of a second. Great fun. :D

When time and money permits, we are certainly keen to get back down there. Neither of us had dríven Eastern Creek before and loved it. Need to drive Oran Park and Wakefield next.

Cal...there was a guy with a radar gun at the end of pit lane...we did our change overs there and he was definately checking all the cars.

Those MR2s are really heavy...can give them a pretty good whack and they don't move...I know from previous experience, after about the third hit he got out of the way....unfortunately he was not too happy with me.

Tom...thanks for the offer...all is going OK at the moment.
