Xado ? ?

anyone know anything about this stuff? it's an engine \"revitalizant\" gel that apparently fixes worn out engine parts... i've heard it advertised on the radio recently. some of the claims seem a little far fetched .. like you put this sutff in your tired old engine and whammo it's like brand new again. hmmm.

Sounds like some stuff I used many, many years ago called Nu-Metal.
You put it in through the spark plug holes and then gently drive the car for a while, and it seals up things like little gaps in your piston rings etc.
I used it on an HD panel van which had blown a hole in a piston, and by golly, it cut down the smoke a huge amount and kept going until I traded it in.
Before the application, the car used 1 litre of oil every 10k's (yes, 10k''s - I used to carry a 25 litre drum of oil in the back at all times) and after the application, it used hardly any oil (well, maybe 1 litre per 100k's).
I wouldn't use anyting like this hoping the engine will get another 100,000 k's, but while you are waiting for parts to re-build your engine, or before you take it for a trade in, it might be worth a shot - if you need it.
