Hi Gang,

Home now. Thanks to everyone whom me met and tried desperately to help us out. Sadly, the donk is dead - cooked pistons. There was no shortage of offers so to all the Qld'ers I thank you for your hospitality and never ending assistance. I'll be back......

To the gang coming down in a couple of weeks, I'll see you then :)

I am back home now also.

I had a gearbox failure as I crossed the line at the end of Race 3. I wondered how long a standard 6 speed would last. Now I know. Couldn't get any gears from the finish line to end of back straight and just as I was about to park it managed to get 3rd and get back to the pits. I had another box with me but decided the 4 hour headstart was better than 3 hours fixing the car for one more race.

Thats to Brian F for organising a great event. The 2F guys were having some great dices.

The first race was fantastic with Brian f beating me off the line and then doing a 1st 2nd 1st and causing us both to near stop. I ended up eight and had to work my way back. The other turbo car is fast in a straight line!!!

Development continues on BLuey with some progress on brakes over the weekend.

Looking forward to coming back in November for the one hour races.

Cheers

Brian

Are we going to see any of this racing action on TV? Either on SBS or 10?

And if I have missed it being shown on TV already, can anyone get me a copy of it?
