[QLD] Go Karting???

Postby sirbob » Tue Jul 18, 2006 1:53 pm

Butters and i went karting two weeks ago and had a blast. We were at Kingston Park, which offered a $70 race package with three qualifiers and one final (or something like that), which is pretty affordable considering one session costs $25.

When we were leaving we thought how much fun it wuld be if the MX5 club hired out one of these venues for a day or something?

Maybe we could organize an informal event one weekend if theres enough interest...

buuuuuuuuuttttttttttttt whhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyy

we seem to be able to organise informal runs, skidpan/LVMA days, eating rib days and a bundle of other things without the blessing of "the club" not to mention it would probably be seen to be a "young" thing.

90kph Pro Kart Race Events

Built to international standards, the 1,100m LeMans track is equipped with digital timing and viewing monitors that display drivers’ times and race positions.

Winners are presented on the winners’ podium and digital photos are taken at the conclusion of the event. Minimum age for this race event is 16 years. In sprint events, all drivers receive Practice and up to 4 races.

Mid week races require just 10 drivers. 1st - 3rd trophies are only $60.
