I had a great day, the track was wet the whole day which turned out to be a bonus for me. I’ve never been on a wet track and started to get a real feel for my cars handling under those conditions. A few cars came off through the day in spectacular form spinning and sliding through the mud.
The last session was the best a few dry lines had started to appear on the track, I was able to put the foot down a bit more, get on the brakes later and carry a bit more speed through the turns without the back end wanting to take the lead
As far as I could see I was the only MX5 driver participating, although one light blue jap import NA6 with a hard top turned up for a look. A bit disappointing I would like to met a few forum members. I’m defiantly attending the next fun day and maybe try a sprint meeting.

Any of the motorsport rounds on the calendar could be considered club driver days. They are similar to this except they're timed. There are a couple of extra safety things to cover and a Cams licence ($85 per yr) but other wise the same. Give me a hoy if you want to know more. (What is Hoy )
Phillip Island this Sunday still has lots of places if anybody's interested.
#35 Someone spent billions building these roads and you have to drive on the grass!
